The law firm of Elrod Friedman LLP is proud to announce that Liz Butler has joined the firm, focusing her practice on land use, zoning, entitlements, urban planning, public incentives, historic preservation, economic development, and general real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Elrod Friedman, Liz practiced for several years in the land use group at DLA Piper’s Chicago office. There, she worked on numerous significant and high profile development projects, including the 150,000 square foot e-commerce distribution center in the Bridgeport Chicago neighborhood, the redevelopment of the Republic Steel site on Chicago’s south side, and the phased redevelopment of the 180-acre Pullman Park planned development, to name just a few.
Liz began her professional career in the public sector as a municipal planner in the Dallas, Texas metro area.
Her extensive legal experience, as well as her broad and deep contacts and relationships with key government representatives and civic leaders throughout Illinois, make Liz a strong addition to the Elrod Friedman land use and municipal law team.
